Seems now that vidal has said he'd be happy to stay at juve if the move to united fails.

Can't wait for this saga to be decided one way or another.

    Yeah.

@CheGiaevara: Arturo Vidal (according to Chilevision): "I am already at a huge club, Juventus, which relaxes me should the Man United option fall through"

That's got to be bullsh*t, he's not going to be that disrespectful to his current club.

In fairness believing an irish radio presenter that we are signing vidal is as credible if not more than believing we are not signi g vidal from some guy called futureguy off boards.ie. neither are privileged to commercially sensitive information at united so in reality neither have a clue like the rest of us.

    I get jokes.

I'm done. My work here is a waste thanks to the naysayers. I'm off to fix the Garth Brooks debacle. They asked me to say that we are hosting Garth Brooks in the Garth Brooks thread.

Gonna pop over there and see what's shakin...

Now now, please keep out of there. It does not need your help. You have far more important things. Good Future Guy...

From all this Vidal carry on over the last few days has convinced me the English media have been locked out of any info from old Trafford by Van Gaal.
They knew nothing on Herrera either till the very last minute.

The Iron Tulip has flexed his mighty powers and shut them off.

The general view being reported is that we wont match Juve fee for Vidal, which simply cannot be true considering what we paid for Shaw, Mata and Fellaini.

Those quotes tho if true wud suggest that to be the case tho which is astounding but not surprising considering our bizzare transfer approach over past 3 or 4 years.

The kit definitely looks better when it is on. Think I'll wait until i see what adidas have to offer next season.

    Mike Keegan ‏@mikekeeganbbc 21m
#mufc adamant they won't pay £34m for Vidal. There's interest but won't pay what they think is over the odds.

    Ah for **** sake

    In Ed I trust.

    Vidal or no Vidal.

The sponsorship deal is best news for club in while.

Not paying £34 million for Vidal is just mind-numbingly stupid.

If that is what is actually occuring..... Yeah.

That's ridiculous if true, how can you pay so much for Shaw and not pay a bit more for a world class central midfielder

If we buy De Jong now I'll be píssed, he isn't half the player Vidal is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,775 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

So how much was Herrera again?
So we can believe United will not pay £34 million.

Would love to think that the club are just trolling journalists at this stage.

all I see is a story that is taking the same trajectory as all the other transfer sagas we've seen in the past. Utd must have at least one every summer. This time its Vidal.

    *Insert FG rhetoric.*

Anyone jumping down the clubs throat over one headline is an idiot. Fookin relax the kaks.

There was all sorts of mental headlines about Shaw costing 40million and people were flippin and it turns out it was all bollix and we got him for 27million.

The best thing about this Vidal transfer saga is the fact that Chile have a news channel called Chilevision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,924 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Just said that on Chilevision, a news channel, that seems to show cartoons about big cats and discuss gladiators.
Arturo Vidal: "I'm at Juventus now, I respect them. I'll decide my future when I return to Italy on July 28th."
Arturo Vidal: "I'm on a big team now, so I'd be relaxed if the option of Manchester United fail".
Vidal: ''Dot Cotton? Not sure I'd buck a brunette. Love smashing cockneys though so don't hold me to that.''

3rd quote may or may not be translated poorly

Am I the only one who is thinking probably we announced adidas deal at the wrong time? We should have waited till the transfer window is over, now every club knows we are loaded (even before this deal too) and now we have to pay much more for our targets.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,437 ✭✭✭redbaron_99

"They tell me that England will present an offer from Manchester United for 50 million Vidal, a contract with him for 8 to 9 million per season." He reveals Alfredo Pedulla, during the "special transfers" broadcast on Sportitalia.

Translated from Tutto Juve. Not sure how reliable.

Exactly, crazy decision. Will be held to ransom on every deal.

Maybe United just testing how interested Vidal is in really joining us.......remember the Fabregas fiasco last summer

Yes, although more then likely will have either competition or just more then whats required to pay.

Either way we will know soon.

More then likely we will have look elsewhere but never know.

Lads, I think we are only hearing journalists opinions and not what is actually being discussed at both boards.

It's obvious to me every journalist is playing catch up with United business this summer (welcome relief after the last year tbh) so the few things they defo know (i.e need to reinforce midfield and definite interest in Vidal) and they can speculate to their hearts content knowing the flip coin of silence from the club means no denials are forthcoming.
