Is ebay down? Can't login due to Half.com agreement.

Trying to login to my account but I get a prompt that I need to agree to T&Cs for a new Half.com merger, and clicking the "Continue" button brings me to an error page.

So in other words I can't login to buy an item.

Working fine for me. Did you try ebay.ie or ebay.com?

Tried both just a minute ago. No half.com thing appeared - just simple logon page - username, password and off you go.

Clear cache and cookies and try again.

Tried on a different browser there (one I've never used to login to ebay) and:

    1) It won't let me use my username to login, I have to enter my email in the "Email or user ID" field (normally I put in my username)

    2) I'm getting a "We are having technical difficulties" screen after logging in with my email (see attached)

at least the error message is different but I'm assuming my account is screwed up in their database during the Half.com thing.

I guess I can create a new account but means I lose all my feedback built up over several years

    Contact eBay Customer Support shows

"Call us at 1-866-643-1607 and mention security code xxxxxxxxx. This isn't the same confirmation code to confirm your account."

    I imagine that isn't a free number?

Your computer might have been compromised, have you access from a different device to try it?

The number you've listed above is a US number, IIRC theres other threads on boards with eBays Ireland number

According to this it's legit, something to do with registering on EBay US but not being resident there.
Seems to be a toll free number - can you try it through Skype?

Caution - I've seen about 3 or 4 saying it's legit, none so far saying scam. Type the number into Google and have a look for yourself.

Tested on 2 different machines. My pc isn't compromised as i've got internet security installed and i never visit insecure sites (I work in web dev so I know what I'm talking about)

I would wager my account is fooked

That number gives a permanent engaged ringtone. Perhaps not in service on Sunday.

Yep, more than likely they're off on Sunday. :)
