Not being able to ride a bike due to balance issues and having a perfectly good (if slightly rusty in places) mountain bike gathering dust in the garden. I envy cyclists sometimes...

People beeping me when I have done nothing wrong

A guy tipped the back of my car, years ago, in heavy city traffic, in very bad weather, and HE beeped at me :D.
I think it was more so that he got a fright, and it was a reaction, on his part. There was no harm done, I think apart from maybe a very slight dent.

Yeah. I too was once an idealistic young hacker. These decades I am been mostly assisting the Americans in the good work of extracting bowel-evacuating amounts of money from large Asian telcos. :pac:

You mean no whiplash? No loss of mobility? Trouble sleeping? Anxiety? No hair loss? Stress? Nothing at all?

Being reminded again that I live in a banana republic with the latest Garth brooks fiasco , now the Mexican ambassador is getting involved !!!, it's trivially annoying because I really don't care anymore .

The same thing happened to us a few weeks ago, we were watching a street dance group at the top of Grafton Street. My son went to put 3 euro into the bucket and the fella told him he preferred fivers. I felt like kicking him and after I gave out to him we got a disgruntled thanks.

I told him if they were any good they wouldn't have to preform on the streets and that they should accept what people give them and be thankful.

3 euros! and he said he preferred a fiver? I'm genuinely shocked!
3 quid is more than generous.

Do you need any type of license for street performance? If so you could report it to dublin city council or failing that go to the guards and report them for a breach of the peace and being a public nuisance and obstructing the free movement of people on a public thoroughfare. Oh yeah and for being arséholes.

The problem that some people still have with tattoos and in particular, tattoos in the workplace. It just baffles and annoys me.

I'd have taken the three quid back. Cheeky feckers.

That's the only change I had in my purse and my kids were so delighted at the thought of giving them the money and they both needed a coin to put in the bucket. My son was so upset at the reaction he got that he won't want to give money again.

Walking into work this morning I noticed that one of my shoes has developed a "squeak" It's infuriating, the shoes aren't in the worst condition but I'm actually contemplating on throwing them out now because of it. I sound like a clown with a day job, walking down the road! squeak ... squeak ... squeak ... squeak ...

Tattoos, piercings, body mods and mad hair colors do not make a single impact on a person's skills and workability. I really wish employers would cop the **** on and realize this instead of discriminating (how ever subtly) against the more colorful people of society. Really pisses me off when I hear how some places require tats/piercings to be covered up.
If I had my own business, I would not give a single rat's hairy patootie if you had body mods or mad hair- just as long as you did your job to the very best of your abilities is all I care about.

On topic: Having a mini-heart attack at 1am when checking the bank account only to find there's only €2 in it. Thankfully, the money came through a few hours later but it was a shock alright!

For some reason this reminds me of the episode of Friends when Phoebe found the thumb in her drink.

Not facing customers then i agree but if facing then yes cover up. The employer may not care about appearance but the customer may. Ability to do a job is no good if your scaring away business (even if the customer does need to lighten up).
