Sligo's is probably the best group. Would be fairly confident of them beating all the teams in that group if they were playing somewhat better.

Dundalk have some tricky teams in their group but they are some beatable teams in it aswell and they are playing very well atm. If they avoid Tromso and possibly Aberdeen they have a good chance.

Derry arent playing well atm. The Iceland team would be the one to avoid in that group.

John O'Flynn signs back with City until the end of the season. Great addition, will add quality to front line no doubt.

Very good signing for Cork, if he's still as sharp as he used to be.

Do Cork get a free physio with him?

Cracking signing if hes fit and in the form he showed that one season.

If he gets fit and scoring i would upgrade cork to potential challengers and us to 3rd.

He's averaged 32 games a season since he went across to England, so no physio needed.

Rumours that could be the end of Faherty, who's been fairly underwhelming.

Pity.Bombed here at Dundalk last season which was a pity.Sorry to see him doing the same at Galway.Thought both would be a perfect match.

Haven't heard anything, but wouldn't be surprised to see him leave.

Think at the start of last year, everyone thought he would be our number 9 but once Hoban got a run in the team, it was clear he was a far better player (attitude aswell)

Obviously felt he did all he could.

The expectations surrounding them, last season in particular, were pretty ridiculous. But, I guess they don't seem to have gone forward this season, although I question the logic in getting rid of him at this stage unless he wants to move back across the pond himself.

    2-1 Pat Fenlon
    3-1 Mick Cooke
    6-1 Roddy Collins

Hope Fenlon gets it, keeps him away from Rovers.

How anyone from Bray can walk around in Chelsea/United/Pool jerseys and not go to the Carlisle grounds and still think of themselves as 'football mad' is beyond me. Your own town has it's own football team! How lucky can ya be? I travel a half hour in to see my team, granted that's not a lot but to have a team on your doorstep and not support them doesn't compute in my head.

its getting more and more to the point where we need a one team league purely as teams slip away.
There has to be some way to make the league a better proposition for new teams and surely whatever drastic measures that are needed should be done while a first division still exists. A new team is hardly going to be an automatic saviour but they would offer more hope to progress in future than a B team.

on a brighter note, the Brandywell redevelopment is moving along

They'll all be there to watch a Man U reserves side.

Yes it's the fault of all the non-Bray fans in Bray that Wanderers can't get their finances in order.

I was up in Bray for a Cork City match a few months ago and in one of the bars on the promenade we were talking to a group of 3 lads all from Bray. Asked them were they going to the game got the response ' wouldnt be watching that muck at all'.

Its a loosing battle for all LOI clubs.

You were making a connection between the two, to be fair.
