Sky Italia: Patrice #Evra's move to Serie A is imminent. Juventus have agreed 2 year contract (€7m). Fee w/ Man United in discussion (€2m).

I highly doubt the Evra deal is gonna convince Juventus to sell Vidal. It'll be decided one way or another but I am sure Evra was not a deal maker or breaker.

If United signed a Vidal or Hummels or Di Maria anytime soon It would calm my nerves a bit about this summer. I think a big name signing like that is a massive statement.

    If I may...

    Raf Jones Hummels Shaw
    Herrera Vidal DiMaria
    Mata
    Rooney Rvp

Just getting one of those 3 would be fantastic. 2 and we are dreaming.

Good team, it wouldn't win a single game though.... Good as they are, without a keeper we have no hope!

Watching Kroos last night makes me wonder if we havent missed the out on the ideal midfield recruitment. Fabregas is another.
However, the best thing about this world cup for me has been the return of that old feeling of total confidence in our Manager.
Yes I'd probably have gone all out to sign those two, but what do I know. Like Fergie, LVG knows exactly what he wants in a player (unlike Ed and Moyes last year when the only stategy evident was driving down the price).
    Cant wait for next season.

How much is our Chevrolet deal worth per year?
And how much is the AON deal for Carrington?

With the new adidas deal approx £75m a year, surely we should see a big chuck of the debt disappearing in the next few years........

DHL deal is over United bought themselves out of it

So looks like Evra is indeed off, strange one, suspect the player wanted the move, guess it makes the Vermaelen interest a bit more sensible (still dont agree with it) as he can play LB and CB. More in our line to get rid of ANderson, Cleverley and Young

The Vidal stuff right now is speculation - wouldn't read much into it until next week. Can see a lot of business happening after the WC final.

Indeed - and I believe the Chevy deal increases to near 70million over time as well.

Thought it was an unusual one, as I heard originally that it was Evra who had triggered the extra year extension clause. However Mitch posed yesterday that it may have been United who triggered it by playing Evra over a certain number of games, which makes sense. Hell, there may not even had been a 'signing' of the extension. And since then Evra's agent may have been pimping him out.

Maybe speculation but it would explain why sign him and then the strong rumors of a sale within a few months.

Disgusted Utd didn't push hard for Sanchez. Of course I don't know what Utd did or didn't do so maybe they tried and maybe the combo of London and UCL was too much of a lure for Sanchez but damn it hes exactly what we lack in the squad and will tear up the PL.

Good business by United offering Evra a new contract. We get a fee and get to keep in touch with Juve.

I am not starting a big debate here but i think LVG might like a go at turning around Anderson's career. He had so much potential when younger and LVG maybe able to get him sort his lifestyle around. Personally i have giving him too many chances and he deserves to go but maybe LVG will try to get him to sort himself out.

Sums up exactly what's wrong with the internet and twitter!

Sanchez will do very well at Arsenal, especially if Walcott is fit too. The pace he'll bring to that team could do wonders for them, assuming they sort out a CF. Hernandez would be perfect for Arsenal but I don't see United selling to them and rightly so! ;)

RE: Evra to Juve... That's what SAF was talking to our boy Antonio about in the stands many moons ago. As much as I want Vidal, I can't see United not buying Strootman under LvG.

It is looking like we didn't move for him at all - all the talk is that his options were Juve, Liverpool and Arsenal, we haven't been mentioned at all in the last couple of weeks.

Could simply be that LVG doesn't see Sanchez fitting the formation he wants to play, or not a priority when money is required elsewhere. Could be LVG wants a more traditional winger rather than a forward like Sanchez - hence the links with players like Robben and Di Maria.

Fingers crossed we are looking elsewhere for that exciting spark in our attack. Di Maria would be a fantastic signing, but fcuk knows if we have any chance (or interest) there.

If we were to play a midfield 3, as LVG likes, no reason why Vidal and Strootman wouldn't fit. He has played Strootman as the deeper player in his Dutch side.

So Strootman deep, Vidal box to box, Herrera advanced.

Walcott Ozil and Sanchez behind a top class striker would be very scary.

jamie Jackson now reporting Di Maria is LVG top target, would be a sensational signing, top top player.

Don't think he's cut out for the EPL.

Kroos was impervious again last night.

Sickens me to think that despite maybe it all being rubbish, there was indication LVG isn't overly interested.

Calmness, control, precision, ugh he'd be glorious romping around OT.

I couldnt disagree more, he is deceptively strong and can play 2-3 different positions, a better option than Sanchez IMO

Vidal and Di Maria and you can call time on transfers as far as I'm concerned. That'll do me.

F*ck the CB if that's the cost.

I think that is WAY overplayed these days to be honest. The PL has changed in style dramatically over the years. Silva, Cazorla Mata and other players people wouldn't have considered cut out for the PL have, imo, done brilliantly.

Di Maria has pace, great technique and doesn't actually mind getting stuck in. He goes down rather easily, but so does pretty much every other player in the league now, so I don't see that as an issue really. The PL refs give fouls for incidental contact almost as much as european ones now.

Depending on the source it seems either Di Maria or Vidal are the top targets. Couldn't be both could it?
