Pronouncing 'my Grandad' as ' my Granad' , it's just lazy .

Same goes for people who say "Such and such text me yesterday."

TextED. The past participle of the verb "to text" is textED.

I'd let you drive it, and I'd be the inspector - taking delight in refusing people for wearing flight socks and carrying Nolans bags. There'd also be a smell test - no damp/mildew/stale smoke smells please! Also, anyone tries to put a single coin in to pay their fare and looks back up at the driver for approval would be booted off immediately. Fat people taking up 1.5 seats will be charged fare and a half. Anybody who even attempts to hock/cough/sneeze/sniff will be forcefully removed via the UPSTAIRS back window. :)
Now it's perfect. :D Sweet, sweet heavenly bus.

Wonder how much a bus costs? I've got €6.42 in coins (no coin larger than 20 cents) - I'll donate it to the Heavenly Bus fund. Oh, the irony would be too delicious. Imagine buying a bus off them and making them stand there while you shell out the cash in coins, dropping some every now and then and blocking the queue for other busy bus-buying people.

When queuing for a coffee and the barista machine in the shop can make 2 or 3 coffees at a time, and the worker behind the counter insists on making 1 at a time!

I've never worked as a barista before so I may be wrong, but perhaps even though the machine is capable of making 3 cups at a time, she is capable of making only 1 at a time?

I think there'd be a special cockpit for you on the roof, with a birds eye view. As we approach stops you can communicate to Eisenberg whether we can stop to let the passengers on or, if they have committed the Nolans/mildew cardinal sin, advise that we should keep going. I think you'd have also have a megaphone to tell the bus stop mugs why we are not letting them on! If its all the same with you, I'd equip you with harpoons to impale militant lollipop ladies in the distance, thereby improving our journey time :P

Make it a Ma Deuce .50-cal and I'll be "Chief Engineer and Master-at-Arms". Sorted. :D

Phonecalls where if you hold the phone too close, it feels like the person on the other end is actually drilling into your ear...move the phone away a little - you cant hear them :(

The "Num Lock" button. Why did they put it there? It's as ridiculous as having a button that turns off the letters on the keyboard

Never made sense to me either. All the alternate key functions are just duplicates of the ones directly to their left so I don't get it.

Drivers who tottle along at 80 when the limit is 100 but then speed up to 100 when a slow lane appears.
It's not the driving slower than the limit that bothers me.
I really don't get the whole speeding up thing.

Gambling adverts. I hate to see gambling ads. The ones that are really annoying me are the Sun ones. Specifically the one were a woman is gambling online while she's in bed beside her husband who is trying to sleep. They're trying to make it look like a normal thing to do, it isn't. Gambling isn't something that people should be encouraged to do.

I went to donate blood this evening and to be tested to see if I am suitable to go on the bone marrow donor registry. It turns out all my veins were too small or too deep and I wasn't suitable for either. Am really p!ssed off with myself. On the bright side, I don't think I'll ever become a junkie :p

Phone giving off a low battery tone every few minutes, I heard it the first time, isnt it draining the low battery more when it gives off the tone and screen lights up.

Those McDonald's ads on the telly. The slow motion ones with the people making faces. Yer wan at the end takes a bit off 1 chip.
Who the fcuk takes a bite off 1 little skinny chip? You'd be shovelling them in 6 or 8 at a time, and still be starving when you finish your meal.

You can. Just be sure that the person "gifting" it to you isn't aware of it ;)

People who think they own seats in a pub

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 938 ✭✭✭Ice Storm

People taking the piss at express checkouts.

I was stuck behind a woman today with an overloaded basket. I double checked the sign - 10 items or less. "Fcuk sake!" says I, with my three items in hand.

Then when your wan has finished emptying her basket she produces a couple of carrier bags, also filled to the brim and starts unloading them too. She probably had a small trolley's worth of stuff there.

Why do I always pick the wrong queue? :(

A full mug of coffee, you take one sip and it's delicious, go to put it down on the table in front of you...

And lack of depth perception mocks you once more :(

Who put that floor there anyway??

People telling me I'm hard to figure out, when I'm a very straight forward person. I literally can not be any more direct and I'm supposed to be some sort of enigma?
