The original King Kong movie is a remake of a silent picture.

    How is this obvious?

I presume you're talking about the 1925 adaptation of The Lost World.
It's quite a stretch to say King Kong is a remake of it. More that it owes a lot to it due to a lot of the same people doing similar work on both films.

Now there's a post that fits the thread! My folks told me he was suffering from the DTs and what the DTs were and it was only as an adult I realised the same, they were just drunk.

    That being asked

    "Are your ears painted on?"

When you weren't listening, didn't mean someone had painted on TOP of your ears on the outside so the paint blocked the noise....

but actually meant your ears aren't real at all - they have been physically painted on like a picture on the side of your head :/ oops

They could have refused to make the cake because using Bert and Ernie is copyright infringement.

That or silent movies aren't real moves and therefore can't be originals. Strange sentence any way you read it.

    Han Solo.

I've genuinely never seen a Star Wars film. No interest. No real frame of reference.

Couple of years ago? Sat at this very desk. Out of no where; The penny dropped!

I just sat here and laughed till I cried!

You aren't the one who should feel stupid. While it's not as ridiculous as Will.I.Am, it's still a name that only a dickhead would claim.

That this pair of jeans that's been awaiting disposal at the back of your wardrobe for years is actually amazing, stylish, spotless, in-fashion etc etc In fact, the only thing that's changed in recent times is that you're poor now.

That's okay, provided you were morbidly obese before.

You won't actually die if you eat something that's a bit past its sell-by date.

They are generally "use by dates" and "best before dates", they mean what they say, which is not obvious to most who often view them as the same thing.

"use by" dates would be on fresh meat etc.

"best before" might be on tins of beans, they are just not gauranteed to be at their very best, or manufactuerers these days seem to also use them to force retailers to buy more stock.
