I managed to click that part back on, worried how easy it is to clip on/off considering its job is to filter toxic fumes.

This might explain the strange squeaking and knocking for the last few weeks :)

Oh and the guy who adjusted my lights today is getting a kicking tomorrow!

You can doll it up all you want but it'll never be a titanium. Note, no interior pics, and the missing chrome on the rear quarter window, tut tut tut :P

Or a debaged 'S4' with two exhaust pipes - only one of which is conspicuously blackened by diesel soot.

Lads, I'm looking at any estate at the moment. I drive an Audi A4 (2003) and must say, its a great car.

    Budget around the €16/17k mark.

Have been looking at a 5 Series Estate (2009), but most of them are high mileage. Is high mileage a major problem on a 5 series? I dont drive much, probably 10,000 miles a year. Some of the cars might have 110,000 miles on them, but is that a problem?

    Cheers,

If it's motorway mileage I wouldn't be worried about it. You're sure it's miles not kms?

mostly miles. How would you know if its motorway mileage?

I'd stay away from them unless they're 525d/530d/535d.

520d engine is prone to timing chain issues.

ooh thats interesting....just read a little about it....will avoid the 09 bmw with a rattle!

    what about an A4 estate 2009 or even a C-class merc 2009?

On the 407 i bought recently, a previous owner swapped out the bulbs for the beam lights.

They're a blue bulb now. Aside from looking tacky, they're also useless as beams. Anyone know if theres much money to be spent on fixing them again? Is it just a straight bulb swap over? (and are beam bulbs cheap or expensive? And seen as i now actually have to buy bulbs, what are the ones that are always recommended on here called?)

    Cheers :)

Or if it has a rattle, get 2k off the price, that's what it costs to fix.

Rear coil springs for an Alfa159 seem very common. Guess I'm not the first person to break one!

No guarantee but if the car is ex-lease for example the service book would be a strong indication.

Good point made about the 520d engine, do you actually need a diesel?

Sometimes I wonder, do i have some sort of strange deformity that puts people off from hiring me or something?

I go in well dressed, no hat (shock horror) pleasant as the fcuking sun and still nothing

Did he know who you were? You could say yeah I must be one of those guys as I was told I work here. Also make sure he is actually the guy that makes those sort of decisions, there maybe someone over him and he is just acting the dick.

Seen one of these when I was filling up this morning. 04, Navy.

I shook my head in disgust/bemusement as I heard it chugging off out of the station.

Sorry to hear that Pickles, hope it turns out well in the end.

I called the insurance company today to make sure they had my correct address for the cheque, I was told no cheque had been issued....I almost lost the plot on the phone, I have parts ordered already and have already made arrangements to buy other parts. What a F**king joke all companies here seem to be. My wife said I should just be an arsehole all the time when dealing with companies as its the only way to get them to do anything.

Yeah me too, it'd be nice, but I'm not expecting anything now
