Hey! I currently have dhb and santini bibshorts. These are grand for 3-4 hours in the saddle.
I will soon be doing a week long event with about 5 hours each day in the saddle...
I bought a pair of Skins C200 bibshorts which are really comfortable.

    I have looked at
    1) Castelli Free Aero bibshorts
    2) Sportful Grupetto Classic bibshorts
    3) I hear Assos are the best, but they seem really expensive..

    Any recommendations or feedback?

by way; i am looking on
    -wiggle
    -chain reaction
    -bike 24
    -evans cycles
    -swimcycle run
    -bikeprofit uk

    Thanks a mil!

DHB Gold line bib shorts. I bought a pair from wiggle and just did the ring of Kerry in them. No issues at all. I'd highly recommend them. Sat was also the first day I used chamois cream too. I'd also recommend that!

Castelli Free Aero are amazing. I have two pairs.

    Better than my Assos.

In terms of comfort over long days in the saddle would the Assos T Pro be as comfy as the Castelli Free Aero?!

Just for info, DHB higher end bibs use the same chamois pads as castelli.

Yes, but Castelli stuff has scorpions on it!

Have you worn your current shorts for five hours on the saddle? If they are fine for 3-4 hours, I should think they'd be fine for 5.

I'm going to start a thread next week on what bib shorts are best for wearing between 08:30 - 12:00; not quite 5 hours and possibly not the time of day you'll be doing your ride, but it could be helpful.

Yep, i have worn the standard dhb shorts for up to 6-7 hours and was quite unconfortable by the end...

The most comfortable shorts i have worn to date are skins...
You can defo feel the difference in quality after long hours in the saddle..

Any other comfy, long distance bib shorts?
