Hello, I have Undenominated Engineering down as my number 1 on my CAO Application and would be very grateful if someone could give me a bit more information on the course and their experience from taking it. It does not matter what type of Engineering you do as I will be deciding this in 2nd year so any information will be much appreciated!
I would Like to know about the difficulty of this course. I have done honours maths and physics and I feel I am good enough at them. Is their a big difference between these in the LC and these subjects in the course?
Also I have heard that the timetable for engineering is very full on. Do you find it difficult to get time to socialise, play sports , join societies etc....?
Any information you have would be much appreciated,
    Thank You in advance!

First of all, all engineering is now the same for first year which is a change from when I did it but most of the topics are still the same, just reorganised.

First year is just getting everyone up to LC level. If you have done a subject for LC you are mostly up to date. There might be some bits cut out and new bits put in but overall it is very similar to the LC course. A good understanding of physics will make things a lot easier.

While the hours can be long (30ish hours) 99% of the time you will be done by 6pm and most clubs and societies do activities at this time or later. I was a member of 3 clubs and attended regularly no problem.
