CE Scheme

    I am almost reaching to a 3 year term, i am on disability Allowance and is disabled, am i entitled to extra year on my CE scheme due to my disability ?

    It depends on your age. If over 55yrs you can still do CE until December 2014.

    I was put down for a CE scheme by fas/solas. How do they contact me though?

    AFAIK you need to apply for the CE scheme that your are interested in? Have you applied? If yes then it will be up the the employer to contact you if they wish to interview you.

    Well i applied first and they told me to go through fas which i did. They put me down for it in fas and i am still waiting......

    Do you have to do an interview for a CE scheme? i thought they would just give it to you. All id be doing is trimming lawns and stuff.

    It would depend on the number of people who applied for the scheme. Maybe you should check back with FAS or with the particular scheme you applied for.

    will do. I applied this week so if i dont hear back next monday will give them a shout.

    TBH if i cant even get on a CE scheme i am emigrating to the uk or something. Getting real pissed now doing nothing. Cant even get a jobbridge as well cause there are so many people going for each one.

    I dont know your personal circumstances or what you are trained or qualified in but you could have a look at springboard as well with a view to retraining. You should also look into making an appointment with an activation/case officer and have a chat with them about what courses and schemes are on offer.
