Going from JSA to JSB, is this possible?

Hi,

I'm currently on JSA (188EU). I'm going over to the UK in a few months to study, but I would like to move over sooner just to sort out accommodation, look for part time work, bank account, NI number etc. At the risk of asking a stupid question, how does one check if they have enough social insurance contributions to get JSB? I've only worked temporary contracts over the last three years.

If it was possible to receive JSB then I'd be more inclined to move over and look for part time work

Just to state that I know I can't receive any support when my course starts as it's full time.

Thank you, that's a good start. I'll work it out from there.

Just another thing, say if I was eligible to get JSB how long would it take to switch over, even just a ballpark figure? Even if it was a lower rate I'd still be happy with it
