    I ordered this phone http://www.pandawill.com/wmcc-x5-smartphone-android-42-mtk6589-quad-core-50-inch-hd-screen-3g-white-p88474.html

Cheap as chips for €75 odd,I tried to order a phone from Geekbuying and nearly lost the will to live due to paypal so gave up on it and used Pandawill instead.

Has anybody any experience of some of the phones from Aliexpress? http://www.aliexpress.com/category/5090301/mobile-phones.html

Prices seem extremely cheap,I've bought a variety of stuff from Aliexpress but the missus needs a new phone now and she's tempted by an S5 clone.

Just make sure the seller has good feedback.

When I order off Aliexpress I always search for what I want and then sort by orders. Usually pulls up the best sellers.

I usually use the more trusted sellers, just worried that if I do go for an S5 clone that customs will seize it as counterfeit.Although my genuine fake jersey arrived in the post today without a hitch.:)

It only has 4 gigs of memory which isn't enough in my opinion and that resolution wouldn't look nice on a 5 inch screen.

I'm still looking for a device with KitKat, HD Screen and an SD card slot.

Not really in any rush but still!

Let us know how she gets on with the phone. It should be an improvement over the old one with the MTK processor.

Did you get the etotalk rom ? I see its free at the moment with their sale.

Hey Guys I've been looking at the Jiayu Mobiles for a while. Seem to be a pretty popular option but that could just be the way Im skimming the threads.

GPS, Email, Texting Phoning and Facebook are my big things when it comes to mobile phones but I have heard that GPS can be an issue. Is this the case?

Im looking for something cheap. Somewhere around the 150-160 euro mark is about my limit. Cheaper = Better.

    Any recommendations?

This looks very good for the money, I think some of the guys on here have it or in the process of waiting for it, keep a look out for their posts.

Soooooo tempted by that Xiaomi, just waiting for reviews here to see if the screen lives up to the hype and if the battery can support it, also if the MT processor can get a GPS lock.

I think the new chip MT6592 is more power-efficient so the battery does last (or it did on the Octacore phone that I had briefly), GPS was still an issue though. You can get the GPS to lock fairly quickly, but once you start motoring it can drift all over the place.

OGS, Gorilla Glass, 2gb Ram, 32gb ROM, 13mp camera.

    Not bad for 119euro

A quick google for reviews of that retailer doesn't make for comforting reading!

After seeing the Galaxy note 3 in action and liking the feel and size I was thinking a 5.7 inch will be my next phone.....in a few months obviously as I still love the Jiayu, has anyone got any good 5.7 inchers (giggidy) and what would you recommend.

I've been checking the net eagerly for news of a release outside of China. At that price, I'd rather pony up the extra scratch to get an M8 from a supplier closer to home.

I just received the Note 3 clone, HDC Note 3 from DH gate (DHL delivered) yesterday. A perfect 1:1 imo. Battery life could be better but the original does fit it apparently. I may sell it on in a week or two if you're interested. I don't think this size of phone is quite my thing.

I still think that this is a real bargain & I will probably go for it.
