My Hards drive dies please help

I got a 5600 gb external iomega. It died. It wont connect to the computer. can i get it repaired? is there a way to transfer everything off on to another HDD?

as i posted above,

Same problem, in the link above .
Take out drive,
place in a drive caddy enclosure,
sata, 2.5 or 3.5inch ,
IF drive is 3.5inch sata you,ll need a caddy with its own power supply.

OR open case , remove the hard drive,
switch off pc,remove pc power cable from esb socket.
open pc case.
connect drive to pc, using sata power, data cables from the pc dvdrom drive.

Make sure drive is on a stable, flat surface.
turn on pc.
Drive should show up,
in MY computer, as drive D; or drive E;

Drive c; is the windows os, boot drive.

this works for 2.5 ,or 3.5inch drives , sata type drive.

IT could be a loose connection, data, power to the drive from the case pcb,, inside the iomega case unit.
ie the hard drive itself could be fine.
does the drive have a power supply ,or is it just usb powered.
