We are 13 minutes in, the Spanish wheel has started turning. The touch has become assured, the passsing adventurous, the pressing is aggressive.

    are you mentally ill?

Alonso is not having a good day.

Gollllllllllll, the South American minnows have pounced on a moment of madness from Alonso, and its majestic play that carves the frail Spanish defense apart like a cheap suit, and Vargas with the composure of a grizzled assassin, slots a bullet right into the heart of the Spanish armada

Another one for the goal line technology crew, with Alonso there.

Better get out the spare wheel for Spain.

Very nicely worked and taken goal

Spain were poor at the back, plenty of time for them to come back but I am not sure they have the stomach or legs for the fight

The certainly don't look like eventual winners anyway

Panic at the back and a goal. Alonso has been rubbish.

Alonso shouldnt be on the pitch ,he should have been dropped instead of Xavi ,himself and Busquets are not a good pairing.

Big mistake by Del Bosque not to bring Diego Lopez as a goalkeeper.

I hope Spain somehow make it to the final, I want to see as much of this comedy defending as possible.

The Spanish bull is tired and weary from many fights.

The Chilean matador is swift and nimble.

The matador strikes a deep blow to the body of the bull.

The bull is still alive but looking weakened.

Doubt is in it's soul; can it survive?

Costa looks slow and out of shape.

It's not the same one as his, I get that ugly orange/slate grey one.

On topic: These free kicks will wreck Chile

Spain should park the bus. Too bad it has no wheels.
