Is it 14 days from day of your first period that one ovulates?

It differs for people, I'm day 12 at the moment, but could be anywhere from 9 to 16 in the past. Then period should be 14 days from ovulation, but again people on here have had much shorter and longer cycles.
Best thing to do is ovulation tracking pee sticks.

Is it best to have inter course every night during fertile window or every secind night
