Since I downloaded the latest updates for Windows 8 the clock on my computer has been running very slow - I've found a solution for this relating to Windows 7 but can't work out how to do it in Windows 8. Can anyone help please?

Configure a time server, e.g. time.nist.gov. Not familiar with Win8 myself.

It's configured to time.windows.com and if I tell it to update now its fine but after 15 minutes the clock is 10 minutes slow.

The problem is at bios level. You need to attempt each step and check
    • Reset your bios
    • Clear your CMOS
    • Hard reset your CMOS
    • Replace your CMOS battery.

I turned on the computer half an hour ago and the clock was right- still right now. I did nothing!
