I never said that he is the answer to all our problems. Our midfield is appalling for a club of our stature. The guy looks very good and is worth a look. He is clearly a much better player than Cleverley etc.

Great to see the way pointing out that a lesser known player (than Schweinsteiger etc) could provide a solution provokes nothing but a sarcastic comment and a slew of sychophantic thanks.

The Wikipedia reference was purely for the benefit of posters who haven't heard of Herrera (i.e. this Herrera).

It was one of those rare moments where you see the ball sailing in, you see that he's onside, but then you think "Nah, it's overshot him, he's never getting on that". And then BAM, he's a salmon and it's in the net.

Not as astonishing as basing your opinion of a player after one game and a wiki entry. Sure throw up a youtube video as well. I have no idea if I got thanks or not nor do I care. But if this is how you judge a player stick to champ manager. Again if people can't figure out that this player (who is Mexican and not playing for Bilbao who only have Basque players) then tbh I will probably not think alot of their opinion. That can be snobby but hey I don't care. Feel free to not respond.

Good analysis on BBC at the moment, Henry and Shearer describing the forward's mindset, Rio explaining the defensive side of it. Abnormally good from them, expect to see more from Rio if he's always this good.

Sorry that was meant to be we don't need him to be action man. He would bring bite and toughness still but also a football brain miles ahead of what we have.

Look at Alonso for Real as an example of how a player can perform even as time passes. He may not be what he was but what he is now is still excellent.

I didn't base my opinion on Wikipedia...the reference was for other posters' benefit.
