They do a 1 day, and a 2 day service for the UK and NI.

ROI is no longer included in the prime service, it was 2 or 3 days iirc

Does being a Prime Member makes Free Delivery Shipping option faster or is it still the same as a normal Account even though one is a prime member, if yes then I think Amazon Prime is useless for ROI customer.

Prime doesn't make a different for ROI delivery's, but you can use it for parcel motel delivers for next day service (depending on time of ordering) or 2 day service.

^ I don't get what you mean about parcel motel, is it part of the Prime membership?

You can use the free next day or two day prime shipping to Parcel Motel in NI.

Parcel Motel is nothing to do with Amazon.

Would they not ship the same/next day to Ireland with Prime membership? Resulting in faster overall delivery e.g 3 days vs. 5-6 days as it usually takes with normal amazon free delivery to ROI. If so it might be a good alternative to Netflix as Prime membership includes Prime Instant Video

    Hi all,
just wondering is it ok to use Amazon Prime if you live in Ireland?
I'm sick to death of slow deliveries!
and do Amazon have a problem with it if they know your using Parcel Motel?

    Thanks

    Unfortunately no.

Amazon don't care if you use parcel motel, but be warned you will be paying a lot of PM fees as amazon will ship items individually to give you a faster service. Has happened me a few times, where three items ordered at the same time, will be sent in 3 packages at the same time to PM. Arrive in NI at the same time (registered tracking) and then sent to the same motel taking up 3 lockers when combined they wouldn't take up half the space of the smallest locker. €10.50 (€3.50 X 3) in fees will add up quickly.

wow I didn't realise they done that, it does sound like it could get costly very quickly then!
do they do this if it's 2 of the same item do you know?
as in something small like a computer game?

Chances are that the same item ordered more than once will come together as stock would be at the same location.

As for ordering the same item more than once yes, but there will never be a certainty because if you order 2 of X, and they only have one in stock, they will ship it, and ship the second when it comes in later, using Prime or not.

sorry to kind of high-jack the thread but I have a quick question.
when signing up for the Prime trial on Amazon, do I enter the Parcel Motel address as my billing address or my home address?

sorry I'm no good with these things.

Home address, as this would be your card address.

thank you, but would that mean they would send the invoice separate to my house and the Parcel would go to Parcel Motel?

Amazon don't post any invoices like this,
You'll have a packing slip in the parcel and you'll receive e-mails, thats it,
