Ads in Safari

    these last few days I've been getting a lot of adds in safari and popup's i have ticked the option to block popups in preferences and have the adblock extensions getting quite annoying now has never happened before and even goggling something now i get ebay adds on the screen

    Check your Adblock settings. Maybe even try uninstalling and reinstalling that extension.

    From the Finder Menu select Go > Go To Folder ... and enter

    ~/library/Safari/Extensions <ENTER>

    Tell us what's in there. There's a Flash adware that installs something in this folder that does what you're describing. If you can list what's in there we can go from there.
