Keyboard Spacebar on remote keyboard

I removed and cleaned all the keys, but now the spacebar wont function properly. Its fine if pressed in the middle, but either side doesn't work. I tried putting the wire piece into the spacebar key first and then into the keyboard base but no joy, the wire is obviously not clicking into place. Any tips for this lads..

It is very tricky to get it to work properly. You need to get the wire to sit in the little clips/sliders at each end and connect with the space bar. Obviously it is not held properly when installed. Good luck with it.
