Administrative privileges

Hi My computer keeps checking for disc constancy on startup. After a bit of research I think I have to run a fsutil dirty query on the c drive. But when I try I get a message saying you have to have Administrative privileges. There is only one account on the machine I am the administrator. Any ideas?
