Does anyone know the process after a cabinet has been landed and engergised and is ready to go.

We've had a new VDSL cabinet landed and powered since the 20 Dec,2013

From talking to the K&N lads they said it is ready to go and was up to eircom to get it provisioned.

6 months on and not a dicky bird, eircom scheduling have no idea yet the other cabinet where I live 700 metres away was online since sep 2013.

Anyone have an ideas to the eircom logic or is it a case of only bringing efibre online if the market share is there.

At this stage I am getting miffed with 6MB BB

    Eircom logic lol.

We had one put in supposedly to go live last November, then December, then January then....
Eventually went live in May. Yet seemingly no one near it can get connected.

In the village I live in there's 1 large estate of maybe 100-150 houses, all the rest are kind of 1 offs along the roads etc. There's 5 cabs in the village and the only 1 not being upgraded is the one thats in that estate. Genius logic.

I'll second yomamasflavour. 2 cabinets were installed in my folks area earlier this year and were to go live in April. However according to Eircom it will probably be September before they will be able to avail of it. This shower are very slow when it comes to enabling the lines in the areas surrounding these or any cabinets.

So do not hold out too much hope for now. You'll still be on your 6Mb for a good while yet unfortunately.
