The thing about Cesc with Barca is he has been playing almost behind the striker and sometimes as the striker in a lot the games I've seen him play. Haven't seen much in the last 6 months though, has he started playing a little deeper again? Would be a fantastic signing for us even just to lift the mood around here.

I wonder what Moyes really thinks though! He comes across as a nice bloke, too nice for such a big job.

In time its odds on for a book me thinks where what really happened inside OT will be revealed by Moyes, could be a bestseller.

I wonder if he had to sign some sort of non disclosure agreement?

Moyes is a gentleman. I was vehemently opposed to his appointment and called for his head early on but unlike many in the game he is a decent man. I wish him well and hope that he succeeds at a level more suited to his talents (e.g. Celtic, Newcastle, etc).

I really couldn't see that happening - on what grounds could United have asked for one? - possible over the £ amount but anything more would be hard see happening.

Do you really need to be a c*nt to succeed though?
He should have been more forceful in dealing with issues like Ferdinands tweets for sure, but you don't need to go all Mourinho to win.
Look at the likes of Pep. Klopp. Ancelotti or Pellagrani, they all seem 'nice'.

You can be nice but firm, respectful but authoritative.

Moyes came across as nice to the point of a pushover though.

That's rubbish unless he can pass the ball sideways and get applause from the crowd.

De Telegraaf (those who broke the LVG to United) have said VG has given Woodward the names of Mats Hummels, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Kevin Strootman, and Jevgen Konoplyanka to try and sign this summer.

Whatever happens, its going to be a VERY long transfer window.

Moyes imo had a lot of what it takes to succeed but lacked confidence. Clearly had none in himself and too much in the players. Probably lost the dressing room before he had even entered it. He was also way too respectful of others. Lacked that ruthlessness every manager needs. Overawed. Words.

In Portugal's friendly against Greece,Carvalho dominated the midfield,he took 90 touches, completing 82 passes and maintaining a 90% pass success rate – more than any other player on the pitch. The guy can tackle too,I can't remember too many times any of our midfielders actually tackled somebody in the past season or so.

The Telegraph are still going with the Strootman story though.

I'm not on twitter but I hear that the most reliable source,Ogden is on holidays so unless something massive happens we won't hear anything from him.

One of Moyes' biggest issues was his lack of credibility with the players.

We took a group of players laden with medals and put a fella who has never won anything in charge of them.

When the going got tough, it was human nature for the successful players to say "hang on a sec, who the f..k is this guy?"

United exist to win trophies whilst playing attacking football. And to replace the game's most successful manager, we opted for a guy who has never won a trophy and whose teams can at best be described as playing "pragmatic football". It was an utterly insane decision. If you hired a consultant to advise you on the succession and they suggested such a guy, you'd turf them out of your office. Fergie is the greatest and I love the man but he should hang his head in shame over the Moyes debacle because that's what it was...a f..king debacle.

I read somewhere that in his two years Fabregas is the top assist + scorer in la Liga

And that he's still the highest assister in the premier league from 2007 until now despite him leaving in 2011

I'm open to correction but I'd imagine Messi is higher in the first part of your post.

Di Maria was highest last season in spain.
    Iniesta the season before.

^ This is in the league only

Can LVG make a front 4 of Mata, Rooney, Kagawa and RVP work or will there need to be changes?

Saw a Daily Mail article yesterday that was supposedly an interview with Pogba in which he was asked what was the worst moment in his career and his response was Man Utd.

According to Pogba the interview never happened.

Daily Mail really taking the piss these days!
Fake Dailymail interview!!! - Fausse interview du Dailymail!!!

Apart from the fact that it was lies, what were people getting worked up about? Players have sh*tty times at all clubs, especially if they aren't playing.

Daily Mail were up to that last night too. Someone wrote an article on how Liverpool were favourites to sign Fabregas, the supposed journalist said he never wrote it, even though it was credited as his. Then changed it to a different journalist. Just goes to show how bad papers are.

Must have been midfielder or something but I remember it had to do with goals and assists

Strootman is out until Christmas. Can't see why anyone would move for him this Summer.

Seems like he's expected back sooner than that.It looks more like August, the papers said we'd go for him at Xmas rather than now.
