More uncertainty at Manchester United PLC after this news... I wonder who's taking the reigns with ownership of the club now?

RIP. 85, I didn't think he was that old. Was he ill? Does this have any ramifications for the club or will his sons just continue to run the show?

I'd imagine if he was ill for sometime then it's all sorted ages ago.

I doubt you will see or hear any disruption unless the son(s) have different ideas than those of their father, but again I doubt it.

He didn't look his age but.

Business as normal id say. I doubt he had much influence the last few years. RIP

Knowing our luck lately a power struggle or something will happen...

Sport really is irrelevant here. Sad to hear the news.

Helped forge the club into a behomoth of international recognition and still provided the manager resources.

The payoff from the clever risks and expansion will be reaped for decades.

RIP Malcolm Glazer. At least you got to own teams that won the champions league and the Super Bowl.
    Great achievement.

He never looked his age at all did he, would have put him about 70ish, doubt it will affect the running of United at all will it, RIP.

Worrying thing is the chance that the daughter will sell her 15% stake

    Mike Keegan @mikekeeganmen

#mufc are 10% NYSE & 90% Glazer family which is split between Malcolm Glazer's six children.

Malcolm Glazer's passing will not affect the ownership or operations of the club, for those asking. #mufc

Completely irrelevant point but he always reminded me of James Lipton from Inside The Actor's Studio.

Sad to hear, didn't look old at all.
Gladly it doesn't affect how your club will be run.

    Rip Mr Glazer.
Can't imagine he's had much to do with running the club for awhile given his age but still interesting to see if anything changes after his death

Will be interesting to see if the glazer kids desperate to sell will more easily sway the others, who are a little more reluctant right now, now the father is gone.

For better or for worse he was a member of the United family and he will have the proper respect shown I hope.

He has been semi retired for years anyway, the sons have control of the business interests and have had for a while now iirc. From a United perspective shouldn't make a bit of difference tbh.

A bastard who saddled the club with huge debts? A gambler who took a big punt and got lucky? A shrewd business man who had a model and knew how to work it? None of that matters right now, a man has died. Someones father, grandfather etc thoughts go to them at this time.

    RIP

The club havent even acknowledged his death yet??? Lack of respect in that.

Yes they have - running a ticker across MUTV wishing the family the best in their difficult time for about 45 min now.
