The same thing happened with Seedorf where it was fairly well known on certain online forums that he was likely to succeed Allegri, well before it was mainstream news. I requested odds for him to be appointed over 2 weeks before he was but no bookie would offer any.

Would've been a nice wee coup had they offered even 2/1 on either appointments!


Also requested odds on Hachim Mastour (15 year old who just joined Milan's 1st team squad for the last game this season) to win the Ballon d'Or at any point in his career about 18 months ago. Disappointingly it was the same story across the board - "we cannot offer odds on that market".

Still not decided on my bet but will probably take Japan +2.5 team goals when it hits evens. They scored 3 in the first 10 minutes against NZ last time though so may have to move faster!.


I notice that Okubo isn't in the starting xi. he's the surprise guy getting recalled. He's getting on a bit now but has hit form again last season and 8 goals so far in the few games played this season in Japan . I think if he comes on later in the game there could be at least another goal at that point.
