I hope you do too, but I cannot see someone with most of those cars listed wanting a car that is really for somebody starting off driving. You would be better off selling it if you can.

A lot was happing that day but there is a chance it was a LS 400 and not a 430. It is Burgundy and was a wrap job but looked like paintwork due to the speckle.

Well if its the same chap - he also has an LS 430 - plus a Pheaton as far as I remember.

Don't know him at all - but was reading up on the new IS 300s on the Lexus forum so had a look around and that LS 400 cropped up.

Whoever owned it - they sold it to another member of the Lexus forum whose from the Uk.

So its in the Uk now afaik

Is there a website that I can enter the VIN details and get the car details, more specifically the paint codes/types?

If it is a Ford VIN you want to get details from, the following will help,

    FordEtis

Ugh, getting insurance quotes on a 2.2 at my age isn't the easiest :( . Aviva said they might quote me if I do their ignition test as I have less than 3 years NCD but the discount from the test only applies to vehicles up to 1.6

I thought you got quoted on the 530 at one point no?

That was through FBD when I didn't mention a crash from 2.5 years ago :pac:

If my dad doesn't come back with a decent switch over quote I'm going to have to wait until December-ish when the crash expires from most companies.

    Cheeky! :D
Yeah, I'd just suggest sucking up the last 6 months. :p

If I can stare at my Mazda everyday for almost a year now, you can wait a little longer to buy a BM. Haha

Really sucks that XS Direct is gone, eh :P

Try liberty, they quoted me 600 squid for renewal even with my claim on file for a hit and run versus a cyclist.

Nah, they said because it's within a 3 year period they just can't quote full stop.

Ah. 3 years, didnt see that part. My claim was 3.5 years ago, so I'm only getting quotes where they ask "any claims in the last 3 years"

Meh, I'm happy enough to stay under my dad for another year anyway, it'd mean that when I do go for my own I'll have 3 years NCD with no crashes in the last 3 years and Aviva count those named years as full.

How much would a 2004 1.4 golf be worth. For me not much as they are underpowered. Weird ad as well. And to owner no I cannot imagine me sitting in that pile of crap car.

Bit harsh there bud! I think you took too much offense to the ad! Haha! I say fair play to him for trying something different and lighthearted to make his stock Golf stand out just a bit from the millions of others that are out there. He's definitely got the attention anyways.

And to be fair to the lad, the price is average enough if you look around, and everyone knows that asking price and selling price are never the same ;-)

Especially for a slow as hell and unremarkable 1.4 golf.
I'd understand if it were an r32 or something.

Frankly I'd rather walk than take that car.
