For anyone into the history of Irish railways, the following good size hardback book is very good value and is currently selling in Chapters of Parnell St., Dublin at a reduced price.

The title is 'Dublin & South Eastern Railways' by Shepherd and Beesley - a snip IMO at €12.99. Highly detailed, very well illustrated with loads of old black and white photographs etc.

There are quite a few copies on display on the table just past the information desk as you walk in.

I bought mine some time back and was surprised earlier today to see so many left unsold, but I suppose it is a niche market.
