How is the sound on the Lg's , do they really need a sound bar or ok without them ?

Your ears deserve better than relying on the sound from a LED/LCD!!

No 3D. Its a gimmick anyway. I have a 3D TV and even with the Netflix movies in 3D I don't bother. Just watch regular.
According to the manual WiFi isn't built in power city says it is but ibood says 'Extensive network capabilities: WiFi. You might need a dongle. Decent enough for the price. Last 2 TVs were lg and have no complaints.

Anyone know what the difference between the F6320 and F6400 is. The F6400 is available in Powercity for 599.

    Hi Guys,

Looking for a TV at the min,

Does the F6320 mean that it is a Series 6 tv?

Can extended warranties be purchased on TV's in Argos??

If you were to part with your cash TV which TV is better?

    webOS?
Just wait a few weeks and they'll be flogging them for €99 and there'll be a 1000 page thread.

Looks like a good deal. Thanks for posting

Ya, whats the story with webos?

It actually looks really slick. LG have re-purposed it. The interface looks really nice. I would love an XBMC skin that looks / works like it.

Seriously tempted by this, have many people ordered stuff of these guys before?

Are they reliable for delivery and after sales service?

Never had an issue with delivery. You just need to be aware that delivery times can vary... A lot. So if you're not in a rush all should be fine. Never had to deal with after sales.

Can't understand buying a 42 1080p LED and then settling for "grand sound". A sneaky €200 would get you a lovely sound bar to do the job for years and no clutter.

The sound on your analogue box was probably better than your LED. Big square boxes produce nicer sounds than flat slabs

Folks, does anyone know if this would decode Freesat or Saorview without a separate box?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 911 ✭✭✭MICKEYG

Don't want to tale a risk on these guys.
Argos have a 40F6320 for 519. The 40F6400 in Power City is 599.
Seems to be no difference in spec.
    Thoughts?

Tv arrived today - only set it up to make sure it was working , but already very impressed. Very slick design, great picture and sound is very good. Connected to internet no problem and appears very easy to use - well pleased for the money paid.

40F6320 doesn't have built-in WiFi, so if you need a wireless connection you need to buy a dongle separately (currently €49.99 at Argos / approx €30 on ebay). 40F6320 has 3 USB ports, so you don't need to unplug dongle to watch movies from your USB drive.

Rip-Off Republic: Worth mentioning that 40F6400 starts from €450 in Poland and €475 in Germany.

40F6320 does have in-built Wi-FI. Bought it 3 weeks ago Friday from argos.

The ibood one has built in wifi and connection could not be easier.

Bought 2 tvs from them in the last 6 months, amazing value.

There will be World Cup deals on in the next few days so have a look.

I bought 2 UE40F6510 both to my door for €580 each, priced at 649 now
but that will come down guaranteed.

They ship from France so European plug but €2 adapter solves that.
    Otherwise serious piece of kit.

Heads up tho most new LED tvs only have 20watt sound so you
might want to buy a soundbar at some stage but otherwise brilliant.

Has Soarview and Satellite built in so just connect your cables and tune.

    Hope that helps
