replacing arcade upright joystick

    Hi
    I'm trying to replace an old joystick. I've managed to remove the outer casing but the main part of the joystick will not move. There are four nuts holding it in place but they keep turning with the screw. There is perspex covering the control panel. I was wondering if there could be a screw head on the other side, which would mean whether I need to remove the perspex? Any advice?

    Have you tried holding the nut in place with pliers or something similar while you undo the screw?

    Remove the perspex & have a look, there might be screw heads alright. However, if turning the nut is turning the screw at the same time, it's likely if you find screw heads, that turning the screw will like-wise turn the nut. As suggested, you'll need to hold the nut in place while unscrewing from above or vice versa.

    Thanks, removing the Perspex uncovered screw heads. The Perspex was not glued just held in place by the buttons so all good. No onto the rest of the restore!
