Ok so. They're not accepting bets for atleti in Madrid. Atleti are going to win. It's a certainty and their divine right of football!

    There some balance.
    Now you're neutral again.

Athletic lifting the trophy at Barca........that would go down very well there.

    I believe they will.

    Athletic are 4th?

Athletic Club are 4th and will remain there

Whereas Pathetico (that's how a mate of mine, who is of Basque origin, calls them, among other names) will lift the title with a draw away to Barca ;)

Yes but they are the same bet so same odds should be offered.

Technically they're not the same bet, it's one of those weird bookie quirks that crop up every now and then

Messi is going to destroy Atletico tomorrow. Can't believe Madrid bottled it against Elche.

I can't either, because they bottled it against Celta. :P

I'm not sure where your confidence in Messi is coming from. I highly doubt he's going to "destroy" the best defence in La Liga, the same defence who haven't given him a sniff whenever they've played each other.

    :D

Messi signed a new 20 million contract and will be in great form. Hope Barcelona win the league and Real the Champions League.

Not sure if this is the right place but anyone know if this game will be shown in the pubs in Galway? I'd rather watch this over the FA Cup

Read on Twitter that Barca have only allocated 447 tickets for the away section. Standard practice in Spain it seems.

And at 93 euro a ticket for a seat way up in the heavens. Every Spanish club does it though. Apparently last week Malaga were given 100 tickets at 110 euro a ticket. It's something that badly needs to be regulated.

Here's an article I put together for an English-language Atletico Madrid fan site on how this game is going to come down to mental strength.

Atleti have looked nervous in their last two games, if the same doubts creep in today I'm afraid they're in trouble.

So, where's best to watch this in Dublin that's not my own house? :)

FA Cup final really messes with the scheduling, I'd rather not be stuck watching this game in the corner of some pub.

If you don't mind being really early (if you want to avoid watching it in the corner of some pub ;) ) I suggest the Woolshed. TV's all over the place and 2 big screens, I can also see them open the room in the back which has another tv and big screen, what with the Arsenal game etc.

I'll be in the Living Room proudly wearing my Alteti jersey with a bunch of Catalans.

You can't really beat the living room.

The president of the Spanish Fa is away today so the trophy won't be presented to either of the teams. That's a joke.

I'm devastated that I wont be able to watch this live, I simply can't believe the time that they have opted for the match to be played at. I will of course record it and watch it but it's not the same as watching it live and I'll inevitably find out the result beforehand.

In any case, the match encapsulates so many sub-plots. Can Atletico hold their nerve? Are this group of Barcelona players able to muster up one last heroic performance? Will Messi be the difference in the game tonight that he wasn't in the Champions League quarter finals? Is Costa fit enough to power his team to glory? How much of a hindrance could Tata Martino prove to be over 90 minutes? More than any of those tonight though, for me, it's a battle for the heart of football. It's the beauty of Barcelona's philosophy, imprinted upon many on this squad from childhood, against the ferocious beasts of Simeone's super-atheltic Madrid side. Over the last couple of years there's been a renaissance for physical, counter-attacking sides at the top level of football, therefore it's apt that in, arguably, the biggest game in the history of the Spanish league, that the defenders of pure football are Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and co. the purveyors of the purest and greatest form of football we have ever seen.

One last great effort to produce one final eternal memory for Barcelona fans everywhere. FORÇA BARÇA!

    Ok that's it. . .

Come on Atleti. Win for purity in football!

Barcelona have not beaten Atletico on 5 meetings this season. But Atletico have lost their last 7 league visits at the Nou Camp.

    Yay!

    Sky came through for me.

Coverage is on Sky Sports four from 4:30 pm (gotta listen to Gerry and Guilem! (sp?)). Showing the game live from kick-off.

At 5:55, basically half time, viewers have to switch to Sky Sports 1. Or alternatively, they could watch the game live on Sky Sports 1 from 5:15 pm.

As long as Gerry isnt commentating, that makes me happy

The Bernabeu is probably like 30% full today.

Biggest team in the world and fans don't even show up for a competitive game because they are out of the title race. Bit sad.

Ronaldo pulled up in the warm-up and was replaced by Isco. Hopefully he'll be fit for the CL final, apparently it was only a precaution though.

What way does that leave the European Golden Boot with Ronaldo and Suarez both on 31 goals? Does it go by number of appearances or is it shared?
