Can't think of that word

    Hello, I just can't seem to think of this word:

    It means those who are at most risk.

    Its often used when children and elderly people are targeted in crimes
    eg. ''The people targeted the most _____ in our society''

    Quite embarrassing considering I'm a native English speaker..

    It happens to me all the time. In my case, I put it down to old age, being nearly 70!
