    Well done Kaymer!

Was out for a few scoops and came back to read 5 pages of comments here in a row. - Educational!

So much negativity I thought it was Mourinho-ball, not golf!

Have to say I really don't understand why the penalty on Rose was reversed. I thought (obviously incorrectly) that the new ruling was intended for situations where the player didn't see something and TV caught it or a viewer called in etc. ?
But he did see something, he backed off and called Sergio over - seems to me the penalty was correct, harsh possibly, but correct, no ? If you think you saw your ball move, you saw it move.

Unless it didn't change position I suppose, like that guy on Friday (can't remember who) who actually struck the ball with his practice stroke on the green but the ball just rocked and didn't change position, so they deemed no penalty, apparently - I was only half watching it at that point tbh.

I can imagine if it was Tiger rather than Rose, the fury that would be vented at officials making an exception and rescinding a penalty on him............

I think people are taking McIlroy's comments about learning the course too seriously.

I think Sawgrass and Wentworth are two courses that haven't suited him (All players have courses they don't do well on) and he's learning to grind out scores and perform well on them.

    His results this season have been very consistent: 6, 11, 2, 9, 17, 2, 25, 7, 8, 8, 6.

Multiple wins should be only a matter of time, he's hitting the ball great.

    from Eurosport:

The initial penalty was imposed after Englishman Rose was preparing to play a chip shot from 20 feet away but, as he addressed his ball,
he felt the ground underneath give way and he immediately backed off.

He was convinced the ball had not oscillated but subsequent television replays confirmed via magnification that there had been a slight move - a "quarter of a dimple," according to Rose - toward the toe of his sand wedge.

Back up to 10th in the World rankings now as well.

Quite phenomenal to score 25 birdies in four days. Obviously needs to cut out the bogies, but I don't think anyone matched that number of birdies.

It seems to be mostly his putting. But if it is, he turned it around pretty quickly since he couldn't buy a putt in the first two days and was putting 29 footers on the last day.
