I recently bought a Asus DSL-N55U, i have it connected to my cisco uoc router, i can only connect internet to it via ethernet into a normal port and i have this forwarded to the wifi and other ports but the router is not recognising the internet connection as it is not going into the ADSL port and will not allow me to install media servers ect any way around this??? tried to get cables to go from my upc router to adsl but cant

You bought the wrong thing I suspect. If you have UPC you want a cable router not a DSL router.

You may have a cable mode in the control panel, then you can use an ethernet port as a WAN port and bridge the UPC EPC3925(if thats the one you have). If not, try and return it for something else.

Your trying to use a DSL router connected to a cable modem.
    Won't work.
You need a router with an rj45 wan port.

You may have the option of turning the Asus into an 'access point' by disabling NAT and DHCP and connecting a lan port on the Asus to a lan port on the UPC router.
