    Poxy 'runner's knee'.

I thought these gradual run/walk programs were fool and injury proof.

Judging by my mental state (a mixture of rage and self-pity), I guess I'm officially addicted to running. :pac:

Does RTE have to have a guest that works in RTE every week. These people are not interesting.

There was two runs recently which pass my house, both used the exact same loop but started in different places. One was a once off fundraiser fun run while the other is kind of a series thing that goes on every thursday. I run this route well and have measured it many times and its approximately 3.8 miles.

The series thing is advertised as a 5k while the fun run was advertised as a 4 mile. I wouldnt even mind the fun run rounding it up to a 4 mile since it wasn't really a race but the fact that the series thing is organised by a running club annoys me so much! How the hell can there be 1.4km in the difference for the same loop over two races? And too make matters worse the '5k' was advertised as a 6k last year

Crappy Irish weather ruining the Giro. Went to look at the race at the end of my road and the rain (and hailstones) were biblical. Really took the good out of it.

Blue skies in Dublin. Was great.

Yeah we tend to just the most rotten weather anytime an international event is on. Had a day like today when the F1 cars were in town too I remember.

My rant..getting caught in the aforementioned downpour 5 miles through a 20 miler and having to run the rest with soggy socks! grr

Running along the canal and going tits up onto my the ass this morning. Nobody around until the exact point I fell, into a big pile of muck, when a runner came the opposite direction. He either didn't see me, or chose to ignore it, but didn't say a word when I attempted to engage in conversation. I never came home as dirty from an IMRA race as I did this morning.

Re the bad weather for big events, I found photos the other day I took from when the tour came to Dublin in the 90s, it was raining then too.

The Giro w/ a toddler and a 2 month old. My toddler screamed Il "I want to go to a bicycle race" at the top of her lungs crying as the peloton rolled by- despite being told that this was in fact the bicycle race :):)

Would prefer to get a normal tyre repaired than replace a run flat!

By the other distances listed, it looks like Community Games.
