    Hey guys,

Anyone else here a Net1 customer? If so, do you have problems with their service?

I'm been with them for quite a while now, but over the past 6 months it's been gradually getting worse. Pages constantly fail to load - messages vary from "Could not connect to remote server" to "Connection closed by remote server". If they do load they tend to load incredibly slow or just halt. Youtube videos stop buffering randomly, I have to refresh the page to try again. Running anything off Steam is now a thing of the past.

The strange thing is, speedtest.net returns relatively quick speeds. Although for some reason the packet loss test fails.

I'm not even sure if this has anything to do with congestion, because it goes on consistently throughout the day/night. It's becoming a bit of a joke now. Their customer support isn't much good either. I don't expect much from a regional company, but I swear I had a better connection with Eircom back in 2005, which is saying something.

And to top it all off, this message has taken 6 attempts to send. How I envy you fibre optic customers! Welcome to Net1 people B)

Try using a different DNS like Opendns.com

    their dns servers are:

    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

This solved my problems with Net1

Have you asked Net1 to check your signal? (I'm assuming its wireless with Net 1). some new trees etc might have grown to interfere with your line of sight to the mast.
