I love that pick. Matt Ryan was the most pressured QB in the league last season. Matthews can play LT/RT equally as well. Plug him in on that line and he'll be there for 10 + years if he stays fit. The best OT in the draft by a distance IMO.

If you're Matthews, where would you rather be; Falcons or Rams? Falcons for me.

Both player and team coming out with a great deal here.

Yea I wouldn't waste time moving him to RT. Kick Baker over as you will not find a better LT than Matthews

Can't complain with how each team has picked so far.

Wonder what the Bills will do at QB.

Trading up to Watkins at that premium must mean some high ideas.

Hoping Cleveland pull something out of the bag. Don't know if I can watch til #9

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    they took manuel last year

Oh I don't know. I like the Clowney, Mack & Matthews picks. The other 3 have serious potential to fail

    ESPN are going Manziel overload.

there wont be whoever drafts him there fans wont care where he was drafted they will just see football messiah red

Yeah, but now all that is going to be compared to Bortles, and visa versa, considering he's the third overall pick.

Manziel probably has the same amount of pressure, but Bortles sure as hell has a lot more than I would have expected for him now.

    Probably all just semantics anyway!

Matthews looks like his arms are going to burst his suit.

Great pick and fit for the Falcons.

Hilarious looking at some of the man mountains suited up alright.

cant see watkins or robinson failing per say they may not live up to there potential but cant see them being busts

I think the Rams went with Robinson because they want to run it. He should be a 'massive' help to Stacy.

Fisher and especially Shottenheimer are incredibly conservative on offense. It's why I'd be amazed if the they drafted Manziel; Schotty wouldn't have a clue what to do with him!

    they took manuel last year

Funny that scouts have said if Manuel was in this years draft...he would be the 6th ranked QB...certainly not 1st picked

Johnny to Vikings if Bucs dont pull the trigger?

I don't rate Manuel. Expecting something else.

    edit: There goes Evans. Feck.

With the 7th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select:

    Mike Evans
    WR, Texas A&M

Surely Manziel will be gone to either Browns or Vikings?

he was not first ranked last year either to be fair but i cant imagine them selecting a qb in the second either they have other holes to fill

Matty Ice must be delighted with that ATL pick.

Hope Eli gets a weapon now when Giants get on board!

Great pick for Tampa, but they still need a QB. Safer to take Evans than perhaps reach on a QB, though. Donald still on board, meaning Giants might go that way too.

Smashing pick. My No.1 WR and future superstar

Solid pick for the Bucs. Evans and Jackson; nice pair of receivers for whoever is under centre next year.

Rooting for this to keep Aaron Donald on the board.

Great weapon to give Mike Glennon for the year ahead.

    Johnny or Teddy?

Okay I'm not going to post any more picks. Too much effort for an hour this late/early! Had to have 3/4 alternatives ready for most picks, that will just grow as it gets more unpredictable. And the fanboy in me has a Manziel alternative ready for each one so far! :o We all know to play nice and not spoil anyway. Have fun guys!

Yep he is not mocked that high by any of the draft 'experts' but you just heard a top defensive coach say he could go right there so he rates him pretty highly.

Great weapon to give Mike Glennon for the year ahead.

Josh McCown is the starter there now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Tampa with two huge receivers now and add in Martin back at RB from injury. Glennon could possibly come good yet, if not McCown starts - they'll be strong next year.

Do the Browns go QB here or do they want Lewan?
