You may or may not know this, but the term bug in computer programming comes from back in the 40's, when a moth flew into one of those room-sized computers and shorted out a circuit, leading to unexpected results. When they inspected the inside of the computer, they found this "bug" and the term was born...

Hopefully not a repeat, I was lucky enough to discover this thread today, and while I have gone through a large number of the pages, I haven't seen them all. I did do a basic search to see if it was, and it had no hits.
