    Hi,

I have tickets to a certain concert over the summer that I now can't attend. I have posted on facebook etc to try and sell these tickets but none of my friends have the same taste in music as I do.:(

I was looking online this evening and came across a site called seatwave. I am just wondering if this site is ok and if people have had experience selling on them?

I have read reviews from a buyer point of view but not from a seller.

Don't have any experience of that site but you could try toutless.ie. it's usually very good for selling, but not for over the value of the ticket. There are also lots of buy and sell sites on Facebook. just type in buy and sell- you area and they should come up.

You could also sell them on adverts.ie. Its quiet inexpensive and easy. What band is it for?

I looked into this myself and it doesn't seem worth it for anyone. Buyer or seller.

The seller sells tickets, seatwave takes their bit. It doesnt make sense selling it for face value because seatwave are already digging in.

The buyer buys tickets at the cost you put down. Even at face value. Seatwave adds ridiculous taxes on top to the buyer. And add delivery cost to the buyer. All this can be very very expensive for the buyer.

You dont get your money until after the event has taken place. And after someone has forked out so much money for a ticket for someone making a quick buck, what's to say they won't turn around and say the ticket didn't work. You gave someone a free ticket. Chancers everywhere.

One review I read the delivery charge the buyer pays for the tickets doesn't get sent onto the seller.

I am not sure if I am allowed name the performer Superscouse but he will be playing a number of nights in Dublin in July.

I had got standing tickets but have since got my hands on sitting tickets and want to get rid of the standing tickets. I am not overly worried about getting the money after the event. My one problem with toutless is that you have meet in person and with my work schedule and location this is a bit of a problem.

There is nothing wrong with naming the band. You are not trying to sell them here, you are just discussing how to.

In ireland you have toutless.com, adverts.ie, seatwave.ie, donedeal, ebay and probably a few more. Its best to meet people, face to face, less hassle and risk.

Since you are attending the concert you would have probably have no difficulty in offloading the tickets in any nearby pub on the night beforehand.

Probably will be what I'll end up doing!
