    Hi,
I have sky broadband, which has been down for the last ten days or so. Sky are telling me its a problem with eircom reconnecting the phone line as they had some kind of outage or failure. And Sky cant give me any info on when it will be sorted. Does anyone have any info on this? as i feel I'm being given the run around.
Any help much appreciated, I,m in the drumcondra area.
    Thanks

It's up to Sky to sort out the service you are paying them for. Not on telling you they can't give any info.

Did your problem get resolved? I also live in Drumcondra and seem to be suffering from the same issue myself. I have joined Sky beginning of April and after 2 weeks of trouble-free service the broadband went down on 16th April. It seems that the phone line got physically disconnected as there is no signal / tune / voltage present on the line.

Although issue was reported to Sky immediately they have not been able to locate and fix it since, repeatedly blaming Eircom's Wholesale system failure for the delay. Numerous calls to Sky’s technical support centre were nothing but a waste of time, nerves and money! Every call winds up with Sky’s support assuring me that the issue gets sorted any day now (or even has been resolved already!) which so far (3 weeks!!!) was untrue.

For me this is the worst and most frustrating experience I ever had with any service provider by far! I wish I could still “believe in better” but Sky’s service is a laugh! I am about to jump ships any day now, the countdown is on.
