Getting a smell out of a cardigan

    Hey,

I spilled some food on a cardigan of mine, and when it was in the laundry basket for a few days before washing, a puke-sort-of smell seems to hae 'settled' where the food stain was. I've washed it twice now, and while the smell has got less, short of washing it over + over, is there anything good for getting out funny smells from clothes?

    Thanks!

it depends on what the stain was

one tip is to pour a bottle or two of cheap vinegar into your washing machine and let the acetic acid do it's thing,

this will probably help remove some calcium deposits too

    Try baking soda.

Don't try vinegar and baking soda at the same time though :pac:

White vinegar or mouthwash will do the trick. Works on smelly sports t-shirts as well

What about smoke smells, smoke from a fire not cigarette smoke?
