The Polish. A great bunch of lads

The Polish Embassy has put up a Youtube video, in Irish, to thank the Irish for 10 years of welcome since they joined the EU.

    Fairly awesome stuff.

Great bunch of lads, mostly hard working decent people, I think we're blessed with the high quality of immigration we've had over the last decade.

Got on well with every Polish person I have worked with and some of them had to put up with a lot of sh*t, but they were a good fit to Ireland, being white, catholic, a history of being fcuked by their neighbours, large and hard working*. Its a shame that the mass immigration probably helped the over-heating of the property market and subsequent collapse though.

    *Excuse all the massive generalizations

If some of the mots could just sort out their stonewashed jeans and peroxide mullets, they'd score 100%

I've never met a Polish person I didn't like. They are all dead sound as far as my experience goes.

Great little video and fair play to them. Comes as no surprise though, because I've always found Polish lads & lassies to be incredibly sound.

Poles make an ideal immigrant to Ireland and I'm glad they feel welcome.

    Polish worker v Irish worker.

Leave an Irish lad and a polish lad in a workshop with a dodgy welder and broken grinder with some steel that needs fabricated.

Come back at the end of the day.

Polish lad, had the grinder disassembled, reassembled working perfectly. Job complete.

Irish lad, 4 newspapers read, 20 cigarette butts at his feet, fcuk all work done.

I'll give them this much, they're resourceful.

They hit the ground running, worked hard, set up businesses, had families integrated into their community's and contributed to Irish society

others could learn a lot from the Polish people

Yeah, great people alright. Glad they came over, the immigration over the past ten years really improved Ireland imo.

They did a damn good job with that video. It was very nice to watch.
When I left Ireland many moons ago there was virtually no foreigners when I returned there are lots. The Polish people I have been in contact with are all sound. I think they fit in grand here in Ireland:)

Mostly keep to themselves and cant wait to get out of here many of them but can't blame them. They came for the money, fair enough.

Lol that's wishful thinking. I've worked with plenty of lazy polish people. They're like any other nationality. Some good, some bad.

I've always found their somewhat dark sense of humour to be very like ours, and that makes for a good fit!

Obviously an over-generalization, but any that I know or have had dealings with have been decent, hardworking and fun people who have integrated well here.

PS: Also their wimmen are stunning looking

PSS: ^May also be a generalization

    Speak for yourself.....

No disrespect to Poles, but In am quite happy with Irish women in general, and my OH in particular. There are exceptions in both cases, same applies to males.

Is "welcome" polish for "swan eating"?

If that's the case, then you are welcome. Swans might look pretty, but they're angry bastards.
