    Why is he overrated? Because he has never won the premier league is it? It's hardly his fault that he's been surrounded in the main part by mediocrity for most his career!

    'Most overrated'? He's had a tremendous career by any metric, with three distinct phases in terms of his style of play and tactical deployment. The only way he could be overrated is if he was compared with the Messi / Ronaldo type level of player, which he never had been - even by the English media.
