Questions about Back to Education Allowance - Please help!

Could anyone tell me if you still get a book allowance before you start studying or if you get a travel allowance (I don't live near the college so it's gonna cost a bit travelling to and from) and also if anyone knows what date it is paid weekly (Mon?) Thanks so much :)

Book allowance was discontinued a few years back, and I'm not aware of any sort of travel allowance. So if you're eligible for the max rate of €188 per week, that's essentially all you're going to get.
BTEA is paid on Thursdays.
