I presume you mean the TV channel, which is actually called RTEjr. I heard an interview on the Radio, recently, in which someone said the channel had a penetration of ten percent in its target market - ie 2-6 y/os. I'll try to find the interview.

TV ratings are a big secret. To just get a glance at TV rating and I mean a proper glance you'd need to spend 40,000.

Both TAM Ireland and JNLR are far too secretive, unless your in the industry.

The BAI announce the main headline figure for JNLR, then its up to the radio stations to provide information on what shows are doing well (rarely do they talk about shows that are doing badly). JNLR figures are pure put into the public domain as a public relations exercise, "The Fastest Growing Radio Station" or "The Most Listen to Morning Programme".

TAM Ireland provide weekly shares for those channels that sell advertising, with BBC 1 & 2 done on an optional basis. They provide top tens but outside without actual viewing numbers (Unlike BARB the UK's version which provides limited free information but far more than TAM Ireland and historical ratings). While the TV channels can pick and choose who they give the information to.

RTÉjr and RTÉ NEWS NOW aren't given a share, RTÉ NN has a reach of 12%. Though all of the companies that pay into TAM Ireland know the audience share for RTÉ NN and RTÉjr.

RTÉ ONE +1 has a share of 0.5%

Don't ever expect to read the following about Irish TV audiences http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/ratings/#~oD69tXwrkC0vNO

I thought the name of the channel changed to RTÉ Junior on the EPG?
