    Hey,

I’m organising a hen in Kilkenny and want to know of any self-catering places that fits 16 people. I tried the Powder House and waiting to hear back. I have looked up some others but my numbers are too high and I may need to go to a hotel. Unfortunately Langtons are not available. Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

I only know hotels...I stayed in kilford arms which is across the road from langtons and it was nice and good pub grub. About 100 for two nights b and b at the minute I see.

I'm not sure if it will meet all your requirements but have a look at rafter dempseys.

Location is right in town so thats a plus and they specialise on hens/stags.

    Try here: http://www.beechviewapartments.com/

Hotel wise you've loads of choices: Pembroke hotel; Ormonde hotel; Hiberian hotel; Rivercourt hotel; Clubhouse hotel.
Cheaper options: McCourts Townhouse accomodation; Budget Accomodation - John Street.
Out of Town: Aspect Hotel; Springhill hotel; Hotel kilkenny; Newpark hotel.

I wouldn't recomend Rafter Dempseys - friends of mine stayed there a few years ago and said it was terrible. The same goes for the Brog Maker.

    http://wallsloughvillage.com/cottages/

That place would be ideal for numbers of that size but it is about 3 or 4 miles outside the city so a taxi ride out and back. I presume you are going soon so the outdoor spaces mighnt appeal for a few al-fresco drinks bbq etc but it might still suit you depending on what your plans are for during the days .

    would recommend rafters very central.

Try Berkeley self catering townhouses. ... came across them myself recently. They could cater for your numbers but I can't offer any review.

Powder house told us they won't accept Hens.

    Good luck.

    Hi, Lazeedaisy,

I don't know if it's too late but you could try http://www.nultyscottage.com, they can accommodate 28 people, and they are only 7 minutes by car from Kilkenny and are well serviced by taxis.
