Magician Keith Barry demands to be put on Cork's REDFM

    Keith Barry's appearance on Neil Prendeville's show was cancelled as Barry wanted to do the same magic trick on rival station 96fm.

    The day after his 96fm appearance he turned up at the REDFM studios giving a fake name for some reason to reception and demanding to be put on air.

    When he was denied entering the studio he launched into a foul mouthed rant at female staff and how he would start a ****storm on twitter and destroy everybody at REDFM.

    That is the tale Neil Prendeville gave earlier so we can await Barry's reply.

    Crazy behaviour from a guy who comes across as pretty decent.

    I'm more inclined to believe the guy who wasn't caught "self completing" on an aer lingus flight a while back

    Plenty of witnesses saw Barry turning up at the station and his threatening behaviour towards one female receptionist in particular.

    We shall see if Barry responds.

    Well, I'm sure Keith was angry at his treatment. I bet he didn't do half of what was mentioned in the OP.

    To be fair they both have a need for public attention like all in the entertainment business. The radio hosts' previous stupidity on a plane has no bearing on this whatsoever but by the sounds of it there were witnesses to Keith Barrys behaviour, so we'll sit back and let them at it.

    Is what REDFM's news team are reporting him as saying.

    The lady at the reception desk didn't even now who Keith Barry was and him using a fake name is bizarre.

    I wouldn't be too fond of Barry. My better half met him a good few years back (oddly enough when she was working at a radio station!) and said he was pretty rude and full of himself, so this story seems to match up with my expectations.

    Your man Prendiville really does seem to be a thoroughly unpleasant character. Kind of medium sized fish in a tiny pond syndrome, mind he'll probably consider the fact that anyone's talking about him a success.

    True. I never knew who the frick Neil Prendeville was until I read a story about him being caught trying to tug the love truncheon off himself behind a magazine while on a flight.
