    Hello

Yesterday I received my new laptop worth just shy of €900 and I would like to insure it for damage, theft, and loss.

I do not hold or want to hold home insurance.

So far I have been looking at Chill Insurance, Gadgetinsurance.ie, and Bestquote.ie.

Have any of you dealt with these or any other companies in the past?

I do not think paying €10/€15 a month to rest assured my laptop is easily replaced is a bad deal at all.

Just to add I have been on the phone to Chill and they will not cover it for loss.

Hi, I'm looking for insurance now and was wondering if you signed with any of them?

Why would you dig up an old thread like that rather than make a new one?

You know what, I never did and I really should. I wonder if it is still possible to insure as the laptop is no longer brand new.
Why would you dig up an old thread like that rather than make a new one?

Because he wanted to specifically ask me if I had experience of laptop insurers as he could see it was something I was considering. He should not have to private message me to do this when there is a thread open on the subject. Others who have laptop insurance experience can also advise in this thread just like they could if a new thread was created. What's the problem?
