Computer Died when I plugged in iPhone

    Asus laptop died after I plugged in iPhone 4 (which has started to turn off randomly). I've ran clean-ups, Spybot and Malwarebytes and nothing came up.

    Laptop is only 3 months old.

    The keyword in the Event Viewer is 0x80000000000000


    Does anybody know why this happened?

    Not to spook you or anything but in the below infamous case the author noticed some similar things happening to his iPhone & laptop.....

    That article directs the user to use "RegCurePro" as the fix to the error.

    I wouldn't put that piece of malware on my system if I was paid to...

    Be very careful here OP, and if you did happen to install it, run a scan with Malwarebytes to remove it...........

    Just to add, some people I know (some of them techies), like this program. Personally, I think it's a bit dodgy, hence the warning...

    Sounds like a short in your cable. This has the effect if creating a short circuit in your USB. get a new cable
