Huge wicket, he's been their real dangerman of late.

And Jaya gone for a duck.

    92/4 in 14

Intriguing match.....SL will want atleast 140+

They really need to attack this now, can see Sunil destroying them in his remaining overs.

    Crazy innings from Gayle

    Windies in trouble.....

All set for another Sammy Bravo rescue act?!

30 after 6? They'd be needing more than that, you'd think.

A hailstorm....It's the end of the world in Dhaka!!....will be a miracle if there is any play tomoro forget about tonite

    SL comfortably ahead on D/L

    All over for the Windies

Absolute shocker of an innings from both Gayle and Samuels

how the mighty have fallen especially Samuels who played a beast innings in last world cup final.:(

I love watching the Windies play but Gayle and Samuels were shocking today. I know Gayle came into the tournament with a hamstring injury and then he got hit on the ankle during Sri Lanka's innings but his batting display was abysmal. What is their problem with not taking singles too?? We all know they are a boundary-hitting team but had Gayle and Samuels even got up to run a ball then they would have been close to the D/L score. Anyway, best of luck to the Lankans in the final (Malinga was quality in his 2 overs) and come on the Saffers tomorrow :pac:

Warne randomly turns up at Saffers semi-final prep to have a word with Tahir and also have a bowl. Gotta love that :D

Nothing from De Kock today, he has bombed so hard this competition.

Amla had a nice cameo, but it is spinning now,Ashwin looking very good.

Oh dear the cricketing gods hate me:(

Just backed India at 5/4, next ball full toss to Duminy, SIX.

India's spinners being taken apart here by Duminy and Du Plessis.....and AB still to come!!

And Miller, don't forget him, I know you are a big fan:D

AB fantastic to watch when he's got the bit between his teeth. Very impressive innings from SA so far.

    Edit: Heh jinxed them.

A loose ball or two but quality from Ashwin so far, and he does not need long sleeves either;)

Anyways time for Miller to do something.

    172 is a decent score - that'll keep India honest :)

I fancy India to chase this, but madness Jadeja was not bowled out.

Also while Mishra has been class so far, today did expose the age old problem with him, get after him and he panics very quickly, and sadly at international cricket that is a serious problem.

173 to win against Steyn and Tahir:(

I reckon it's Kohli or bust for India:(

Tahir has been slaughtered by India before, he is manageable. Steyn is good but he has taken some tap here lets not forget.

    The rest don't concern me.

Lots of quality in your batting.

Think India may be victims of having it so easy in the group stages, were pretty complacent in the field today.

Hope we get a close chase here.

After 2 overs of 'hit me' here comes Steyn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,276 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Poor shot from Rohit, but at least he has got some runs, previously he has got out after eating up dot balls.

Don't think India have much to fear from what I seen of Saffer bowling.

Everything well under control when Kohli is batting.Super innings.

Its steyn or bust for saffers.

Don't want to jinx him but Raina not batting ahead of Yuvi is silly, just a better player in this format and he and Kohli love batting with each other.

Parnell channeling his inner Dernbach, proper filth bowling.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭BarryD

Well that was a masterful chase in this format, looked in control from well out.

Saffers bowling was poor enough bar hendricks and Tahir and they didn't keep it tight as needed.

Parnell never been a pressure player really while Albie has always been a waster on the international level.

    Steyn did not perform either.

Kohli is immense, not sure how Lanka beat them really.

I know some Saffers didn't perform today but what is Albie's role in this team? Doesn't bat, barely bowls. Would have been better off playing a FT bowler. These bits'n'pieces players really annoy me

20/20 full of them, what does Andre Russell or Daniel Christian do?:p

Parnell can bat so yeah an extra spinner would have been ideal, side had enough pace with Steyn,Parnell and hendricks especially on this pitch.

Their was some poor bowling from Saffers and Parnell and Steyn lost it at the end.

I will say it was a masterful chase from Virat, the way he nicked singles and manipulated the field won them the game. Special player.

Best player across all 3 formats. Will be awesome for 10+ years.

Was going to put a bet on for RCB to win 2014 IPL...Kohli, Ab, Gayle, Yuvraj. All sounds good, but down the list I land on Albie :(

I'd say if you analysed the tournament so far you would discover these bitsnpieces players have proven to be a waste of space.
